The Pinehurst School Board of Directors provides governance, policy direction, and oversight for the district.
Board Members
About the Board
The Pinehurst School District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors which sets the direction of the school according to our Mission and Vision and adapts policies to support those goals. Board members are elected for 4-year terms and they are community volunteers who serve without pay.
To accomplish its role, the Board:

- Determines the long-range direction of the District
- Establishes policies that direct the instructional and support programs
- Employs and evaluates the District Administrator
- Communicates with the community
- Approves the annual budget
Regular Board Meetings
The Board of Directors meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 4:00 PM. Meetings are open to the public and community members are welcome to attend and participate in public comment on any agenda item.
Meetings are held at Pinehurst School, 15337 Highway 66, Ashland, OR 97520. Contact the office to confirm date and location.

Elections and Ways to Serve
Pinehurst School Board elections are held in May on odd numbered years. To be eligible to serve on the board a person must be a full-time resident of the District who is a registered voter, has lived in the District for at least one year, and is not an employee of the District.
