Each week students head to the gym or outside for Mindfulness and Movement with Ginelle Dekker. Students move their bodies and focus on their breathing while also building self-knowledge and a tool kit of strategies for self-regulation.

Physical Education
PE class at Pinehurst is taught by John Elder and includes skill building activities around traditional sports and games emphasizing cooperation and sportsmanship. We have a gym, complete with a rock climbing wall, basket ball hoops and rope swings where all types of indoor games are played . When weather is favorable, PE class are held on the front lawn.
Outdoor Time
Our campus location in the Cascade-Siskiyou mountains gives students daily access to fresh air and natural surroundings. Recess and outdoor learning periods are an important part of our schedule. Our state-of-the-art playground was completed in the fall of 2025 and provides hours of fun for Pinehurst students and community kids large and small!
